Team Building Workshops
Adventure Based Learning gives every team the opportunity to bring decision-making to each moment; this allows teams to truly analyze how they work together. Through a series of customized “low initiatives” each group explores leadership, collaboration, cooperation and teamwork as they move forward in a unified effort. Our "hands-on" low initiatives are physically and intellectually challenging at a level that is appropriate for each team. Let us facilitate your exploration into Team Synergy as each member of our team is dedicated to the anchoring of movement forward within your organization!
This custom team building workshop is a collaborative effort and designed to promote Team Spirit, Growth, Bonding and Self-Insight. Examples of Low element exercises:
A New Team adventure relies on over 40 low initiatives for our team building workshops. Through our assessment process we will recommend those that are appropriate for your group, below are a few examples.
- The Blind Design: Teams are challenged to create a specific shape with a piece of rope while blindfolded. Frustration and failure are options if your team cannot communicate and delegate! Group dynamics, task vs. process, leadership, communication and planning are all emphasized.
- The Quicksand Crossing: Two teams sent on a mission in the Sahara desert will use wood blocks and 2x4’s to build a bridge over the "Quick Sand" they have encountered. Teams must successfully cross the quicksand using only the provided resources. Team collaboration is key in this exercise.
- Keypunch Pad: Hackers have infiltrated your computer system and it is up to your team to correct and create the firewall! Members of the team will punch the keys on the keypad in sequence without allowing the hackers to infiltrate further!
- The Octopus Carry: This challenging exercise will certainly test the communication skills for any group. Using 8 ropes attached to a ring in the center, the team will be faced with the challenge of picking up and successfully transporting a small ball from one delicate post to another! Teams must communicate, plan and coordinate this true team effort!
- Total Market Mastery: Teams are presented with a metaphorical marketplace, the WEB. As team members are passed through the openings of the web and penetrating markets, they cannot touch connecting markets or they will lose their way and have to start over! Team concentration, planning and collaboration are the keys to their success. Perfect motivator for teams of all sizes!
